Will ICF contact clients listed on my client coaching log?

The audit process that we have in place is GDPR compliant and will not require candidates to provide client data directly to the ICF. Rather, ICF randomly selects a percentage of credentialing candidates monthly to be audited and the ICF Credentials and Standards team will contact those selected and provide them with detailed instructions to complete the audit process.  The credentialing applicant will then email ICF's audit form directly to their clients.
Next, clients will fill out the digital forms and send them back to the ICF. Note: No personally identifying information is required to complete this form. If a candidate provides confidential, internal coaching within an organization, an authorized point of contact within that organization may verify the coaching hours the candidate provided to individual clients within the organization with a detailed letter attached to the audit form.

Through the response forms received, ICF verifies the total client number, total hours of coaching provided by the credential candidate to the clients, and the nature of coaching (paid vs. pro bono, individual vs. group, etc.).

Indidivdual clients who do not consent to have their names listed must be left off the coaching log. The consent may be verbal and does not need to be provided to ICF.
