Are you on the journey towards the MCC and were planning on starting your mentor coaching this year? Are you wondering about the best time to get your mentor coaching completed with the changes that are coming?
For those applying now to apply for the MCC in 2027, there is only one change you need to be aware of:
- Any mentor coaching done on or after January 1, 2027, must be done with an MCS – MCC
- Any mentor coaching completed in 2026 or prior under the current requirements (mentor coach holds an active MCC) will continue to be accepted.
Unlike at the ACC and PCC level, the Performance Evaluation is not changing at the MCC Level. You will apply using the current Portfolio Application pathway and upload two recorded coaching sessions of yours to be assessed. The Competency Review Form is not required for MCC Portfolio applications at this time.
