ICF-credentialed coaches have met stringent education and experience requirements and have demonstrated a thorough understanding of the coaching competencies that set the standard in the profession. Achieving credentials through ICF signifies a coach’s commitment to integrity, understanding and mastery of coaching skills, and dedication to clients.
ICF Members have all met ICF’s stringent membership eligibility requirement by completing or enrolling in at least 60 hours of coach-specific training that meets ICF standards.
ICF-credentialed coaches and ICF Members are all obliged to uphold the ICF Code of Ethics. ICF’s Ethical Conduct Review process and Independent Review Board allow consumers to file complaints if they’re unsatisfied or if a coach behaves in an ethically questionable manner.
