MCS Standard Application - Resources for Applying

Are you looking to apply for the Mentor Coach Specialization (MCS) through the Standard Application Path?


If so, here are some resources to help you understand what the process will look like, what you need in hand to compete the application, and the link to a survey that creates the application(s) when you are ready.


Important Notes about applying for the MCS

  1. You must apply for your MCS at each level for each credential level you wish to provide mentor coaching.

  2. You only pay for your first MCS application.  After you submit your MCS application, you will receive an email acknowledging in has been received.  This email will also include a discount code for you to apply for your next MCS application with no additional charge.

Checklist for Standard Mentor Coach Specialization Pathway 

  • Ensure you hold an ICF PCC, MCC. or renewed ACC in active status 
  • Complete 41 or more hours of mentor coaching education (at least 50% completed synchronously/in real time with a live instructor)
  • Complete the current ICF evaluation training course(s) for each level of specialization(s) you seek to earn, which can be used towards your education requirement (Need to complete the training?  Visit the ICF Learning Portal)
    • ACC BARS Training
    • PCC Marker Training
    • MCC BARS Training
  • Apply for Mentor Coaching Specialization (MCS) through the Standard Mentor Coaching Pathway
  • Receive your MCS Badge and addition on the Mentor Coach Registry
  • Join the ICF Mentor Coaching Community of Practice on ICF Engage


Create your MCS application(s): Complete the short survey to access the links to create your application(s).
