What is a CCE?

CCE stands for "Continuing Coach Education." These are activities that contribute to your growth as a coach - such as programs, events, webinars, mentor coaching, and coaching supervision.

You’ll often see these activities referred to as credits awarded or hours spent in the activity. For your renewal application, simply remember: 1 hour = 1 CCE credit.

Core Competencies CCE credits are earned for time spent in professional development activities that are tied directly to the ICF Core Competencies.

Resource Development CCE credits recognized activities that contribute to a coach's professional development that is outside of the ICF Core Competencies.

Budget Tips

Are you an ICF Member? Look for CCE credits through the ICF Learning Portal and by attending your local coaching chapter's events. These webinars and events are often free to members and low cost for non-members.

Need to Receive Mentor Coaching? Spread out your sessions over your full renewal cycle.  Check with your local chapter to see if they hold group mentor coaching events.

You might have more CCEs than you think?  Reading, writing, research, and listening to podcast are activities that can count towards resource CCEs.  Learn more on the Professional Development page for Credentialed Coaches.

Split the renewal application fee into two monthly payments.  NOTE: Your renewal application will be submitted and place into review after the final payment has been received.

If you hold an ACTC, the 20 CCE credits required for your ACTC renewal can also be applied toward the renewal of your ACC, PCC, or MCC credential.
